Jacquelyn specialises in criminal law. She acts for clients facing a wide range of criminal charges, including serious violence, drugs, dishonesty, family harm, firearms, traffic matters, and sexual crimes. She also represents clients in respect of appeals, parole, and departmental prosecutions.
Jacquelyn is a strong court advocate who provides practical and easy to understand advice, with a focus on compassion and respect.
Jacquelyn has a bachelor’s degree in law and politics and a master’s degree in international human rights and humanitarian law. She was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor in New Zealand in 2010. She then completed her master’s in Germany before returning to New Zealand to specialise in criminal defence.
Jacquelyn accepts private instructions and is an approved Legal Aid provider (PAL 2/ Court of Appeal and Supreme Court). Where Legal Aid is not available, she operates a sliding-scale fee structure based on the needs of clientele.
