Devon specialises in defending regulatory prosecutions and allegations of serious fraud, serious violence, sexual violence, drug supply and manufacturing.

He began his career at a national law firm in 2016 before moving to the Manukau Public Defence Service and independent bar as an employed barrister. He moved into sole practice at Augusta Chambers (formerly Blackstone Chambers) in 2020.

Devon regularly appears in the District and High Courts for matters concerning bail, name suppression, applications for discharge without conviction, and defended hearings (both Judge alone and jury). He is experienced in appellate advocacy, having both led and assisted with a number of successful appeals.

Devon accepts private instructions and is an approved legal aid provider for all matters, up to and including murder (PAL 4, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court).
